Closure Systems

OPTEC provides many options for the closure of your brace. Our 1 1/2" or 2" Dacron-reinforced straps range in length from 12" to 22" with chafes available in either the standard 5 1/2" or the extended 7 1/2" lengths. The variety of lengths allows you to achieve maximum compression and comfort for each patient. Additionally, the Edge closure system presents a great alternative for geriatric patients and any patients who need greater ease in donning and doffing while maintaining compression. The chafes are attached to the posterior in such a way that very little force is required to join the straps in the center of the anterior. The Edge closure system is designed to provide hydrostatic lift to relieve pressure on the lumbar spine, providing a better fit and limiting migration.
